2011 had me (happily!) traveling all over New England: Cape Cod, Sturbridge MA, Nantucket, Newport, Providence – just to name a few places. As well as a few locations outside of the New England area: Hilton Head South Carolina, Evansville Indiana, Lake Placid New York.
I go where love resides, no matter where in the world that may take me!

A big thank you to all the couples I was able to work with this past season, much peace & love to you all, so grateful I was able to help document your love story!

I am very much looking forward to all the love stories I get to document in 2012!

Happy wedding Alexandra + Kyle!

I love to travel and I most definitely love to travel for weddings. So when my great friend Jeannie of Equinox Photography in Evansville Indiana said she’d love to have a 2nd shooter for her New Years Eve wedding, I didn’t hesitate hopping on a plane and heading to Hoosierville. This is my 3rd time 2nd shooting for Jeannie in Evansville. It’s my Evansville Wedding Hat Trick!!

I loved this wedding, Alexandra + Kyle’s day was so full of emotion, love, and fun! Jeannie, thank you for having me along to help you out! And thank you to Alexandra + Kyle for allowing me in to help document a slice of your love story

Fun family shoot in East Greenwich RI

I met Kathy and her family at their home in East Greenwich RI. We took a number of different family group shots, but in between times I captured some of the fun & craziness that surrounded us. I loved that they had a zipline and were not afraid to use it, and all the kids were so snugly and playful together! So sweet! And I loved when the dogs came into the mix too.
My most favorite moment was when one of Kathy’s sons decided to join one of the dogs on the floor for snack time. Love!

Fun couple shoot with Stephanie & Peter Zettl

This past weekend I traveled into Mystic CT to attend the 7th Mystic Seminars. I’ve been going to this fantastic photo conference since the very first one!

One of my most favorite people & extraordinarily talented photographers, Stephanie Zettl, was there speaking at the seminar. You know when you meet someone and you just know (or you hope!) that you’re going to know this person for a very long time? Well, that’s how I feel about Stephanie. She is just really good people and I am so happy we’ve connected, not only in terms of talking about our love of photography & art, but also as friends.

After she dropped her knowledge bomb on the Mystic 7 attendees, I whisked she and her adorable hubby, Peter, outside for a fun couples shoot. Watching the two of them snuggle and giggle just made me giddy & happy & hopeful. The depth of their care just emanates from them, and if it hadn’t been almost 50 degrees outside, their love would have protected me from any chill.

Thank you for the opportunity to observe your love Stephanie & Peter, thank you for opening up and playing and letting me be there to capture a little slice of your life & love story

Happy wedding Meaghan + Adam!

I met Adam about a year ago when I photographed a wedding he was a groomsman in – Liz + Jim. I love it when couples from past weddings contact me to document their wedding days!!

Meaghan + Adam had a beautiful fall day for their wedding. The twilight ceremony was held outside at the Independence Harbor in Assonet MA. And then they had a fun, dance filled reception back inside.

Documentary Family Session: Santa Ana California

I’ve been in the Newport Beach California area this past week, visiting with my sister & her boyfriend. Kelley was at work a few days ago, so I joined Freddy and his son at a local Santa Ana playground to document their day of play. There were expressions galore, as well as some swing time, jumping contests, a little peek-a-boo and a few tears shed when the day was done.

Happy wedding Rheta + Rich: Providence RI

I’ve known Rheta since we worked along side one another at OOP! years ago. I was there to photograph one of her brother’s weddings and Rheta and I also lived in the same apartment building awhile back. Very Rhode Island So when she contacted me to document her wedding, needless to say, I was a very excited!

I met up with Rheta + Rich as they got ready at their hotel. We walked over to the RI State House before the ceremony to take some portraits and then Rich + Rheta tied the knot at the lovely Renaissance Hotel in Downtown Providence RI.

It was a wonderful day that turned into such a great night! Thank you Rheta + Rich for having me there to document your love story

Happy 1 year anniversary Vida + Israel!

This time last year, I was in the great city of Chicago IL helping to document my friend Vida’s marriage to her now hubby, Israel.
